When it comes to family fun, there’s no place better than Knoebles Amusement Resort. It’s just a short 15-minute drive out of town but famously known by people far and wide. It’s the kind of old-school amusement park you’d expect from the area, but sincerely packed with family fun. Even better, this park is pay-as-you-go so you don’t need to be there all day long to get your money’s worth! During the holiday season, they also have a light show you can drive through for even more family fun!

Two weeks in September is Bloomsburg Fair season. It doesn’t sound like much, but you’ll hear everyone talk about it – and for good reason! The Bloomsburg Fair is the largest in the commonwealth boasting massive pumpkins, impressive livestock, bands, and more food vendors than you can count. It’s fun for all ages and truly something you need to experience at least once during your visit to the area.

If you’re going to be here surrounded by all this nature and many farms, you may as well make the most of it! Late summer into fall is a wonderful time to pay a visit to Green’s Fruit Farm. Located in Elysburg (just north of Knoebles!), this family-owned farm is just a blast. U-pick apples straight from the trees for every variety you know and love – and even some you’ll learn to. They also host a small market with apple-themed baked goods and ciders. And when you get home, the family fun continues as you bake those fresh apples into something delicious.
